Programs
Dance Instruction
Our young people are taught a variety of dance techniques by trained and caring instructors. Students spend several hours each week learning hip hop, street jazz, jazz, contemporary, modern, ballet, acrobatics, vogue and musical theatre and majorette techniques.
In addition, students are able to move up in the program, graduating to more rigorous levels as their skills improve. Dance students participate in both competitive and non-competitive exhibitions, travel and local events.
After School
Students in our program enjoy a fun and supportive environment where they can receive homework help and tutoring after school. We have a team of tutors who will help students remain current in their school work while still keeping up with performance activities.
Summer Camp 2023
This year we will be introducing a fun and exciting summer dance camp in which students will enjoy dance instruction, enrichment activities and engaging field trips. Students will receive a uniform and have the opportunity to participate in a variety of competitive and non-competitive activities.
Community Outreach and Anti-Violence
With the cycle of violence in our communities seemingly never-ending, Victorious Jaesettes has developed new initiatives to stop the cycle and bring peace to our neighborhoods. We have always taken pride in being the beacon of hope for young people in the community, and to that end, we have developed a series of programs to help put people on the right path to success.
We understand that the environment of violence is all-encompassing, and many kids grow up witnessing and becoming victims of violence from a young age. For many, this is the only life they know. At Victorious Jaesettes, we take a two-pronged approach to help to stop the spread of violence in our community and put these young people on a brighter path.
First, we work with our own dance students, showing our youth that there is a different way to resolve conflict. We offer a complete mentoring program and hold sessions in which the students are free to talk about the issues they face daily. We help them to see a path toward success through academic support, performance opportunities and college and career help. We show them that there are constructive outlets to channel strong feelings and to resolve conflict.
Secondly, we work in the greater Wilmington community with several established agencies who have devoted resources to curbing inner-city violence. We lend our time, talent and assets to organizations that have made it their mission to give our youth a path out of the vicious cycle of violence and death.
